Pacific Mergers and Acquisitions is not just for sellers!

We also act directly for buyers interested in strategic or synergistic acquisition. We are often retained by buyers to seek out enterprises for acquisition which meet their specific buying criteria. Once a likely target is identified, we contact the business owner and determine if there is an appetite for merger or acquisition discussions.

Once we have located a willing seller, all persons involved are educated about our methodical process. With understanding, usually comes willing participation. We then conduct a thorough analysis of the target company. We conduct market research and financial analysis to determine the most probable selling price of the business. We consider industry trends, competition, niches, geographic influences, life expectancy of products/services, market definition, market share, legislative factors, and market position. We analyze financial statements using a recasting procedure that is critical to determining the market value of the business.

Valuation is conducted uses industry accepted methodologies and advanced business analysis software. We consider not only the cash value of the business, but also pricing scenarios which consider various means by which the purchase of the business might be financed.

Where appropriate, we may also refer a buyer to tax, legal, lending or restructuring specialists for advice on particular aspects of acquiring a target business.

On your behalf and with your full involvement and input, we undertake negotiation with selected target companies and remain involved right through to completion of the transaction.

At this stage, we facilitate:

If proper documentation is done from the very beginning, then there should be no surprises or problems later on, which could postpone or prevent a successful closing.
